The Journal of Geography and Regional Development is published quarterly by the Ferdowsi University of Mashhad. This journal covers the field of geographical sciences with various orientations. The main objective of the journal is to publish manuscripts that can identify and analyze an important issues in any geographical region and provide effective solutions. This journal has been published since Khordad 1386 (May-June 2007) with the cooperation of the Iranian Geographical Association.

The types of manuscripts that can be published are research articles (Original/Practical), case studies  and applied articles .
