Abstract

The purpose of investigating the reasons for the acceptance and rejection of papers of the 10th National Conference and the 3rd International Conference on Urban Planning and Management was. For this purpose, among the 320 articles sent to the conference site; 239 were accepted and 61 were rejected, and then 100 articles were selected based on random sampling, of which 25 articles were rejected and 75 articles were accepted, of which 15 were lecture articles, 10 were posters, and 50 were articles. All the articles have been published and the relationship between the variables was investigated using the Kaplan-Meier survival table and Cox regression. In total, the relationship between 10 independent variables and one dependent variable (score of articles and separated into two major groups of accepted and rejected articles) was measured. The overall average score of the acceptance indicators of the articles was 58.66 points out of a maximum of 110 points. Among the variables, the variable weight of the novelty of the subject and the innovation of the article with an average of 6.97 points had the highest score, the scientific ability of the author of the article in the subject design with an average of 4.88 points had the lowest level of criteria. The results of using Cox regression based on the significance level of PV=0.05 to predict the dependent variable of article acceptance scores showed that except for the generality variable of the article which is not significant at Sig.0.05, the rest of the variables have an effect on the dependent variable. The coefficient value of the innovation index of the article with Exp(B) = .743 has the most impact and the variable of novelty of the article sources with the coefficient of Exp(B) = 0.691 is placed in the next stage of acceptance of articles.
