Abstract
The analysis of determining the shortest path is always known as one of the most practical problems in the spatial analysis of transportation and location-based services. In this research, routing and leveling of Tabriz-Urumieh freeway based on environmental factors was investigated and studied using remote sensing and geographic information system. Therefore, by considering the geological situation (formation, faults), waterways, topography (slope, height), vegetation, land use, population density and protected areas, design the shortest route with the least cost between these two. The point will be paid. To do the work, first the information layers required for routing were collected from different sources, then the mentioned layers were weighted using the Fuzzy Hierarchy Analysis Process (FAHP). Finally, the optimal path was determined using the minimum cost algorithm. And the implementation of the minimum cost algorithms showed that the route designed using the minimum cost algorithm is 5 km shorter than the existing route. In terms of construction cost, the route designed with this algorithm is 32% less expensive than the existing route. Therefore, the results of the research showed that the designed routes in terms of cost (environmental, economic and technical) and length have a significant reduction compared to the existing route and the freeway route proposed by the Road and Urban Development Department of the province, and among the two optimization algorithms, the implementation For routing, the minimum cost algorithm has higher accuracy. The stated results indicate that the proposed route saves time and cost of road design and construction.
