In the process of achieving sustainable development, there is less direct reference to sustainable housing, but the planners and policy makers of the housing sector need to investigate and target suitable and sustainable housing in sustainable rural development . Achieving sustainable housing in rural areas is considered one of the most important indicators of quality of life and ease of access to a sense of security, in this regard, despite the fact that the issue of security in any society is a complex category with diverse and numerous social, economic and cultural dimensions, the lack of Security and, as a result, the lack of feeling of security in the villages, has caused anomalies such as their migration to cities, marginalization and creating a state of passivity in people, loss of creativity, indifference and mistrust-based behaviors. This research was designed and implemented with the aim of analyzing the role of sustainable rural housing in rural households' sense of security. In terms of the type of applied research and in terms of descriptive-analytical nature, the current research is the method of collecting library and field information (questionnaire); Data analysis was done using descriptive statistics (mean and frequency distribution) and inferential statistics in SPSS and LISREL software . The statistical population of the current research is the households of South Estrabad in Gorgan city. The number of samples required to complete the questionnaire was determined as the sample size of 341 people using Cochran's formula. The results of this research showed that the physical, environmental, social and economic dimensions of sustainable housing have a positive and significant effect on the sense of security of rural households, so that among the dimensions of sustainable housing, the social dimension has the greatest impact on the sense of security with a path coefficient of 0.52.
