Abstract
Social resilience is the inherent characteristic and ability of social sectors and units of a society to reduce social unrest, reduce disruptions, and create positive and compatible conditions. The present study was written with the aim of analyzing the factors affecting social resilience in rural quiet places. The present study is applied in terms of purpose and descriptive-analytical in terms of method. The statistical population of this study included all rural households in Shandiz Rural District, which numbered 4,313 households according to the 2016 statistics. The sample size was obtained through the Cochran formula with an error of 6 percent, a sample size of 262 households. The validity of the research tool was calculated using the confirmatory factor analysis model and its reliability was calculated using Cronbach's alpha. Data analysis was performed using SPSS and LISREL software with descriptive statistics and structural equation modeling, as well as t-test. The findings showed that social capital and sense of place belonging have a positive and significant effect on social resilience, and the path coefficient obtained for the place belonging variable was 0.47 and for social capital was 0.44. The results of this study also showed that place belonging has a positive and significant effect on social capital. Another result of this study was the examination of the status of the research variables in the study area, which showed that the villages under study are in a relatively favorable situation from the perspective of social capital and place belonging, but in relation to social resilience, the research findings indicate an unfavorable situation of the villages under study.
