Abstract
In recent decades, we have witnessed a dramatic urban growth and, as a result, a number of urban environmental problems. This has demonstrated the need for new approaches in urban planning. Meanwhile, the “ecological city” as a new model seeks to balance and sustainability in cities through consideration of environmental considerations, social justice and economic dynamism. Although many cities have extensive ecological capabilities and cognitive boom potential, they have moved away from the path of sustainability and ecological balance due to the sudden population growth. The city of Kashmir is a good example in this regard. Although the city has desirable natural and human capabilities, it has remained ignorant of this approach, so the current research is pursuing it with future research techniques and analytical methods - describing scenarios for achieving an ecological city in the city of Kashmir. The findings of the study are divided into three sections: 1- Identification of key factors of ecological urban feasibility in the city of Kashmir 2- Identifications of key advancements that are effective in the realization of the ecological city in the town of Kashmir using the Intermediate Impact Analysis Method (MICMAC) 3- Examination of potential key advanced situations and determination of desired scenarios using the method of inter-impact analysis. (Scenario Wizard). The results of the research indicate that among the 36 variables examined in the city of Kashmir in the case of increased respect for nature, enhanced sense of local affinity among citizens, increased preparation of urban development plans with an ecological focus, special attention to the customs of indigenous people, strengthening and maximum attention to adaptation of the city to climate change and increased use of the desired scenario renewable energy is achieved and the city is placed on the path to achieving the ecological city.
