Abstract
Rural housing, as a symbol of how humans interact and relate to the natural environment around them, reflects the type of activities in economic dimensions and the socio-cultural attitude of villagers, the evolution and use of technology, and ultimately the income and livelihood levels of its residents. In other words, it is an economic, cultural, social, and physical phenomenon that has been established to provide suitable conditions for life, livelihood, and livelihood. One of the most important components that has changed in recent years during housing-related developments is the livelihood-oriented components of housing in rural areas. The change from livelihood-oriented housing to rural housing that has a purely residential function has negative effects on the rural economy. The present research has analyzed the factors affecting livelihood- based housing developments in the Shahid Mohammad Borujerdi village of Borujerd county, using qualitative methods and interpretive phenomenology. This research is applied in terms of purpose and descriptive-analytical in terms of nature and method. In terms of data collection, it is of a Mixed type and its philosophical foundation is based on the phenomenological approach. Since this research is of a qualitative field type; The Purposive sampling method has been used and the selection of samples has continued until the theoretical saturation stage. In this research, theoretical saturation was achieved after 1 in-depth interview (3 women and 6 men) and 2 group interviews (1 group interview with Mayor and members of the village Islamic council and 1 group discussion session with local people). The five main themes of "natural disasters and hazards", "rural-urban migrations", "institutional-management factors", "urbanism" and "changes in the type of livelihood and lifestyle" are among the most important factors affecting livelihood-based housing changes in the study area.
