Aims: The purpose of this study was to estimate and evaluate wind potential energy at 30, 50 and 100 m from 8 selected stations in Lorestan province.
Methodology: The methodology of the present study is applied in terms of purpose and in terms of nature and method of work - quantitative. To achieve this, satellite-based data from the MERRA-2Model model over the period of time (2019-2000) were used. Windographer software was used in this study.
Results / Results: The results show that the power density of all stations is more than 40 W / m 2 / h. At 30 m above ground level, the highest wind speed of 4.9 m / s with a power density of 127 W / m at Boroujerd Station and the lowest wind speed at Kuhdasht Station of 3.4 m / s at 43 W / m. The square was calculated per hour. At 50 m above ground level, the highest wind speed at Boroujerd station was 3.5 m / s with a power density of 157 W / m 2 and the lowest wind speed at Kuhdasht station at 3.6 m / s with a density of 54 W / h. The square meter is around the clock. At 100 m above ground level, the highest wind speed at Boroujerd station is 6.3 m / s with a power density of 210 W / m 2 and the lowest wind speed at Kuhdasht Station at 4 m / s with a power density of 72 W / m 2. Estimated.
Conclusion: It can be concluded that in Boroujerd, Alashtar, Noorabad, Azna and Kamalvand stations at 30, 50 and 100 m levels and in Oligodarz, Kouhdasht and Doroud stations only 100 m above ground level for proper wind power plant or wind farms. is. Therefore, the construction of wind farms in Lorestan province is economical and can provide part of the energy needed by using renewable wind energy in this province.
