Abstract
Knowing the factors affecting the development of urban tourism facilitates planning for the development of cities, as well as the interaction between tourists and hosts and the production of tourism space in relation to traveling to urban areas with different motives and visiting attractions and using related facilities and services. It is done to tourism, which has undeniable effects on various economic, social, cultural, ecological, etc. dimensions. The purpose of this research is to investigate the role of tourism in the sustainable development of Shirvan city in North Khorasan. The research method in the current study is descriptive analysis, the data of which was collected through a questionnaire, the statistical population of the study included two groups, the first group is the population over 20 years old living in Shirvan city, which according to the latest official census statistics of the country has 56,271 384 people were selected as a sample using Cochran's formula and with 95% confidence, also the second group included experts related to tourism affairs in Shirvan city and 50 people were selected as a statistical sample and The random sampling of the questionnaires was completed. The results showed that a significant value greater than 0.05 was obtained for the economic, physical and environmental development index, which shows that according to citizens and urban tourism experts, it did not play a significant role in the economic development of Shirvan. Is. On the other hand, it has played a significant role for cultural-social and environmental development from the point of view of citizens and urban tourism experts. And finally, in the investigation of the relationship between urban tourism and the dimensions of sustainable urban development in Shirvan, for two groups of citizens and experts, T Value greater than 1.96 has been obtained.
