Abstract
A subset of health tourism and industry with high potential, medical tourism plays an important role in the sustainable development of the health tourism industry as a link between the medical and tourism sectors. The present study aims to analyze and investigate the factors affecting medical tourism development in Isfahan metropolis. This applied study employs a descriptive-analytical research method. The data were collected via library and survey research techniques (questionnaire) and an interactive expertise-oriented approach. A mixed methods research (quantitative-qualitative) design was employed for data analysis. The study area is Isfahan metropolis. The research statistical population consists of 35 experts, specialists, professionals, and faculty members in medical tourism and urban planning selected using a snowball sampling method. To collect the data, the Delphi method, to analyze the data, SPSS and Smart PLS software were employed. The results indicate that at the confidence level of 95%, the effective structures in the analysis are prioritized as indicators of facilities, facilities, and equipment (99%); indicators of culture (political, organizational, and public) (95%); indicators of information and communication technology, advertising and marketing (89%); indicators of planning and development (87%), indicators service quality as 80%, and indicators of cost and insurance (65%), respectively. In this study, the SRMR value for indicators affecting medical tourism development in of Isfahan metropolis was 0.061 and the NFI value of the model was 0.908, indicating a high GOF value.
