Abstract
The occurrence of natural disasters such as drought always slows down the movement of rural communities to achieve development; Because rural communities are less prepared when these incidents occur . Therefore, the purpose of this research is to investigate the strategies and actions of villagers in managing and adapting to the risk of drought in Kakhek village. The current research can be considered descriptive-analytical in terms of nature and field-type in terms of data collection method. At the beginning, the existing literature and theoretical foundations in this regard have been reviewed and the basis for compiling and extracting research indicators and variables for the design of the research tool, namely the questionnaire. In the field study stage, the required data was collected using a researcher-made questionnaire and basic observations. The statistical population consists of 197 farmers of inhabited villages in Kakhek district. Statistical tests of mean comparison and regression have been used for data analysis. According to the results of the mean comparison test, the significance level of all variables is less than 0.05, which shows that all these variables have been effective in dealing with this risk. Also, the average effectiveness of all variables in drought management is lower than the theoretical average, which indicates the limited and weak role of these measures in dealing with drought. The economic variable has the highest average with a value of 2.42, which has had the greatest impact in dealing with drought. Based on the results, it can be said that the variable of economic and social actions with a significance level greater than 0.05 did not have an effect on adaptation to the risk of drought, and infrastructural and agro-exploitation measures with a significance level less than 0.05 on adaptation.
