Investigating and Analyzing the Impacts of the Development of Information and Communication Technology on the Change of Social Identity in Rural Areas (Study Area: Shandiz Dehistan, Tarqabeh-Shandiz County)

Abstract
This study was conducted with the aim of investigating the impact of information and communication technology on the change of 3 spatial-spatial, socio-cultural and economic dimensions of social identity in 12 villages of Shandiz district. This research is applied-developmental in terms of purpose and descriptive-analytical in terms of the research method. The unit of analysis is the village household and the statistical population includes heads of households in the studied villages with a size of 281 households. In order to analyze the data obtained from completing the questionnaire through Excel and SPSS software, Spearman, Yeoman-Whitney correlation test, regression and path analysis were used and GIS software was used to show the spatial distribution of the studied villages. The results showed that the use of information and communication technologies is less than average and based on the t-test of two independent samples, the development of information and communication technologies in the study area has played a role in changing the social identity of the villagers. So the measures in the socio-cultural dimension for women, an average of 3.08 and for men, an average of 2.93, in the spatial-spatial dimension for men, an average of 3.06 and for women an average of 3.05, and in the economic dimension, an average rank of 134.6 for men and 147.4 for women were obtained. Moreover, the path analysis test showed that among the four indicators studied, television with a rate of 0.384 has the most impact and the Internet index with a rate of (0.118) has the least impact on the rate of social identity change of respondents in the rural areas under study. Considering the obtained result, it can be stated that information and communication technology has been able to bring about changes in the social identity of rural areas.
