Abstract

The purpose of economic empowerment of rural women is to create sustainable employment, reduce poverty, increase income, improve livelihood, increase welfare and improve the quality of life of women and their families. The programs of microcredit funds as an empowering approach have attracted the attention of many developing countries, including our country, in the last two decades. The purpose of economic empowerment of rural women is to create sustainable employment, increase income, improve livelihood and reduce poverty. In terms of the objective, the current research is an applied and developmental type of research that seeks to investigate the effects of the microcredit fund on the economic empowerment and well-being of rural women in Piweh- zhan dehestan, Mashhad City. Descriptive-analytical research method and required information has been collected by documentary, library and field method. The statistical population of the research includes 425 rural women who are members of the funds, and the sample size of 164 people was determined by Cochran's formula and error coefficient of 0.06. The information extracted from the structured questionnaires was analyzed with one-sample t, two independent samples t, and chi-square statistical tests. The results of the research showed that the microcredit fund had an average of 2.1 to a moderate effect on the economic dimension and an average of 1.7 on the welfare dimension of women members. (about two million tomans), the economic fluctuations of the market and the decrease in the value of loans in Rials are logical. Encouraging women to start group businesses, increasing the amount of loans and identifying poor and qualified rural women will help the microcredit funds to be more effective
