Abstract

One of the biggest developments resulting from the demographic transition process is the movement of the world's population from rural areas to urban areas, which has provided the basis for increasing marginalization. A fact that has been considered as a fundamental factor in the growth of urbanization in developing and underdeveloped countries



Today, the growth of urbanization in developing countries is more than in developed countries. In the country of Iran, after the victory of the Islamic revolution and the 8 years of imposed war, there have been changes in the country's structural conditions, and this has caused the excessive growth of cities and, in turn, the growth of marginalization, and the economy and The community influenced people in these areas. The purpose of this research is to predict the impact indicators of marginalization on poverty in Mashhad city. The type of applied research and the method used is descriptive-analytical, and library and field methods (questionnaire) have been used to collect data and information. The statistical comprehensive of this research includes citizens, based on Cochran's formula, 196 questionnaires were randomly distributed in the suburbs of Mashhad. Descriptive and inferential tests (correlation and multivariate regression) and Vaikor model were used to analyze data and information. The findings of the research showed that there is a strong correlation between poverty and marginalization indicators, but the intensity of the relationship between 4 economic indicators with a rate of (0.845), social with a rate of (821), and environmental with a rate of (562) 0.0) and body with the amount (0.689). Also, the prediction of the regression fitting model shows that the marginalization index of 0.726 explains the impact on the dependent variable (increase in poverty) in the marginal areas of the studied city.
