Abstract

Technical and vocational training not only aims to prepare the labor force needed for various sectors of the economy but also helps address unemployment by fostering self-employment. This alignment with labor market needs enhances the potential for integrating individuals into socio-economic activities. Accordingly, the present study was conducted to investigate the factors underpinning the impact of technical and vocational training on developing employment among rural women in the dehestans of Bahmaei County. This is an applied theoretical study that adopts a descriptive-analytical method. The data was collected through library study and field surveys (questionnaires, and interviews with relevant officials). The statistical population of this study consists of women aged 18 to 65 who participated in training courses. The sample size was determined using Cochran's formula (n=384 people). Sampling was randomized, and a quantitative analysis method was adopted using t-test and multi-criteria decision-making models (ARAS). The results suggest that technical and vocational training factors affecting the employment of rural women vary across four dimensions: socio-cultural, economic, managerial, and environmental. Accordingly, the five dehestans of Bahmaei County were ranked as follows based on 76 indicators: Dehestan-e Alvan with a score of 0.3289; Kafshkanan with a score of 0.1745; Northern Bahmaei-e Garmsiri with a score of 0.1153; Southern Bahmaei-e Garmsiri with a score of 0.1116, and Rud-e Talkh with a score of 0.0675. Therefore, Dehestan-e Alvan and Rud-e Talkh were ranked first and last by obtaining the highest and lowest score, respectively.  Hence, it is recommended that planning be tailored to the environmental conditions and the significance of influencing factors in each region.
